Overview

Track bed availability, assign patients to beds, and monitor ward occupancy. Fully integrated with Admissions.

Viewing Beds

• Green = Available
• Red = Occupied (shows patient name)
• Yellow = Cleaning

Actions

• Assign — assign a patient to an available bed
• Release — release bed (requires Discharge & Release Approval permission)
• Transfer — move patient to another bed (requires Discharge & Release Approval permission)
• Deceased — mark patient deceased (requires Discharge & Release Approval permission)

Doctor-Only Actions

Release, Transfer, and Deceased buttons are only visible to users with the Discharge & Release Approval permission. Non-doctors see the ward (bed status, patient names) but cannot execute clinical disposition actions.

Integration

Beds auto-update on admit (occupied) and discharge (released). No manual sync needed.
